Statement of Faith

Welcome to Pastor Samraj | Expository Bible Studies. We are fully committed to the uncompromised Word of God, standing firmly in the historic, apostolic, and classical Pentecostal faith. We believe in the full gospel of Jesus Christ, operating under the power, gifts, and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Below is a summary of the foundational biblical truths and doctrines we believe, teach, and defend.

1. The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Bible—consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments—is the verbally inspired Word of God. It is the final, supreme, and infallible authority for all Christian faith, conduct, and doctrine (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

2. The One True God

We believe in the one true, living, and eternal God, who exists co-equally and co-eternally in three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This is the Holy Trinity (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

3. The Deity of Jesus Christ

We believe in the absolute deity of our Lord Jesus Christ. We affirm His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His imminent, personal return in power and glory (Matthew 1:23; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:11).

4. The Fall and Salvation of Man

We believe that humanity was created good and upright, but through voluntary transgression, fell into sin, bringing both physical and spiritual death. Salvation is found solely through repentance toward God and personal faith in the precious, shed blood of Jesus Christ. It is a work of divine grace received through faith, not human works (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5).

5. Sanctification and Holiness

We believe that sanctification is a progressive work of grace that begins at the moment of regeneration. True believers are called to walk in holiness, separation from worldly lusts, and complete devotion to God, enabled entirely by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 4:3; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15-16).

6. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit

As a classical Pentecostal ministry, we believe that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a distinct, subsequent experience to the new birth (salvation). It is promised to all believers to endow them with heavenly power for life, bold witnessing, and effective ministry (Acts 1:4, 8; Acts 2:4).

We believe that the initial, physical sign of receiving the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:6).

7. Spiritual Gifts and Divine Healing

We believe that the spiritual gifts listed in 1 Cor. 12:8-10 (including prophecy, tongues, interpretation, and working of miracles) remain fully active and necessary for the edification of the Church today. Furthermore, we believe that divine healing is provided for all in the atonement of Christ and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith (Isaiah 53:4-5; James 5:14-16).

8. The Ordinances of the Church

We strictly observe two foundational New Testament ordinances:

Water Baptism: Baptism by full immersion in water, administered in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as a public testimony of an inward transformation (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38).

Holy Communion: The Lord's Supper, consisting of the elements representing Christ's broken body and shed blood, observed in remembrance of His sacrifice until He returns (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

9. The Blessed Hope and Christ's Return

We believe in the imminent, personal return of Jesus Christ to gather His saints (the Rapture) and His subsequent visible return to earth to reign in righteousness (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Titus 2:13; Revelation 20:6).

10. Final Judgment and Eternity

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all mankind. Those who have rejected Jesus Christ will face the literal, eternal punishment of the Lake of Fire. Those who have trusted Christ will inherit eternal life, experiencing the everlasting joy of the presence of the Lord in the new heavens and the new earth (Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:11-15; Revelation 21:1-4).
